I'm a new still learning bought my girls at point of lay that was two months ago... Worked out that patience was the key here. We are in the middle of winter ATM ( Australia) and yesterday I wasn't even checking just happily cleaning out the cage...my eye took a turn and there it was our very first perfect little egg!
None today though but very excited still![]()
TO THE EXPERTS : should I now be expecting one a day??? As I said I'm new to this![]()

If only one is laying you are probably going to get around 5 eggs per week. Where in Aus are you? Don't forget to come join us over at the Australia thread![]()

!! it takes some time before they begin to lay regularly, but finding the first egg is the start of the journey! once they get into the rhythm of laying, you should get lots of eggs, the Isa browns especially... might only take one day off each week... got any pictures???
