Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Took a break from my back breaking work to give an afternoon egg report. This is not high on my list of favorite awesome things to do. It's not like getting out a fish net and taking out the fish and working on it at the kitchen counter. There is no moving it. There is no draining it. There is no removal of the fish. I have to work around where it is and without draining it more than a few inches. It's a really slow leak from a bulkhead. It's going to be a pain to fix but first I had to spend all afternoon shuffling coral around and trying to make it so nothing would get broken...and breaking some things in the process. Sometimes things that took years to grow. All that so I could drain the water down past the bulkhead. Now it needs a few days to dry but without the sump online, I had to move all the equipment from the sump to the main tank. Meanwhile, it's emailing me every minute or so to inform me that it's gotten below its ideal temp. Now we're cookin though. Just gotta dry the affected area acouple of days then fix the offending bulkhead and we'll be good to go.

Anywho, I went out to look in on the girls and as usual, no eggs. Someone had been horsing around in the nest box again though, one of the golf balls was moved a little bit....

wonderful pics lindz! the berries look amazing and made me remember that mine should be at peak now, and I should get my butt out there to pick some! in a mo' I will...
I'm starting to recover from the extreme exhaustion, which is really good - even tho' I still have double routes plus extra sorting for the new girl everyday through Saturday. must be getting used to it.
I let the flock out for a bit late this afternoon, and then it started raining again. we rode it out - it never got too bad, but the chicks were pretty damp... spotted this on Facebook and it just cracked me up!

12 Eggs today... just 12

Ordered 5 more olive eggers to replace the one I lost.... There's chicken math for ya!

Sold two more babies today for $25. One of my favorites but one of my least favorites so I suppose that balances out!!!

So I sold 10 out of 15 for a total of $105 ( I gave a friend a big discount) which I consider a success. I might try another hatch w the same eggs.

I got about a cup of ripe berries, but there are just hundreds, maybe a thousand berries that are just days away from being ready... I should get another cup tomorrow judging by the near purple of many... you know I had to share with the family! I can't get over how well things are going with the rearing. Peach is dominant, she does occasionally give Gossamer a peck, but the babies love and trust both of them and are happy no matter who's nearby. I have more really cute pics, but I think I overdid it as it is... omg, the cuteness factor was insane!

Nice lindz! they are so beautiful! such a variety - I'm so glad Big Broody is sitting on eggs again... 6 chicks is great, but I want a few more.

wow CLindz, Rawley is getting nice and big! he's so handsome... good for you making a good sale, I have a fellow who may buy some of these once they are weaned - they'll be sexable by then too...
