still no thunderstorms... we're at the peak of percentage for the day right now and the sky is beautiful. but it's getting hot at 85° - so I'm in and out to keep from overheating. running the smoker to make some venison jerky - it' going to be so delicious! I'm in a bit of a pickle as far as fresh good goes. I'm not sure what the biggest farm here grew last year where they grew corn this year - but those ears I ate the other night - I got wicked hives from. within a half hour of eating I was starting to itch. this farm supplies all the markets nearby with their produce. I'm afraid they grew wheat last year. it contaminates the ground and subsequent crops. I could be screwed outta eating local produce for the next five years. I'm still rashy and my sweetie has been picking on me

the new girl finished my route on time, but I heard that she made a bunch of mistakes and missed one of the hardship delivery boxes that had the flag up with outgoing mail. Saturday, I delivered a note to introduce her and to ask for patience while she learned the route. guess that was too much to ask of my elderly "mail vultures"

It is hot... AGAIN.

And will be until the weekend. And then we go into the high 80's before returning to the 90's. WINTER........................
I will not let the girls free range until 3 pm. I have been thinking that they are laying elsewhere in this heat. I know I would!

That was awesome!! I need Swinter. Or Wummer................. At least when it is cold, I can put more clothes on. In the sweltering heat, I can only take so much off before they call the authorities. No one wants to see that. Not even me!!

Yeah I hate winter and summer pretty much equally, but winter just a bit more because of the whole shoveling nonsense...
