Any chicken related science fair projects? I tried to get my niece to do the egg hatching development life cycle for hers but she wasn't interested.

I'll be watching football and doing chores. Have to clean out coop, dust bathe the big girls. Cull 6 roosters. Go to TSC to get stall mats for the barn..... Hmmmm I think I'm missing something!!!

it's been snowing all day, the roads in the elevation are a mess, but are clear as a bell down in the flats. I've got to get out and do my afternoon chores and check for eggs, I have at least 4 out of the 6 pullets/hens in the growout pen laying. I can only tell Silkie Gossamer's egg and EE Lilac's egg, the 2 other eggs are tiny and browner than Gossamer's and one has speckles... could belong to any of the other 4 girls... I need to take a vacation so I can sit and stare at them all day long.

as for my first egg prediction talent... the bird whispers it to me, even from a photo.

so I'm not the "Chicken Whisperer" I am the "Ear into Which a Chicken Whispers".

Yay! Cheeka didn't get stuck in the snow!
I think one of the other marans started laying today. This one is smaller and thinner than the one the other day, and I'm pretty sure I got hers this morning.
ETA: left to right golden comets, marans, and either EE Olive or Silver laced wyandotte Lacey.
