Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Well I'm rooting for both the Seahawks and packers this week. If they win next week will be a hard choice.

5 today but it was over 32 today so that's a win in my book!!!!
 
Hey all, guess which two birds I still haven't got eggs from! They seem to be getting tamer though which is good, Peggy even shared a perch with Zazzles which is unusual. Selma and Babs usuall sleep in the nesting box which is fine with me - Selma alternates with that and the perch, I think she just likes to snuggle with Babs and Babs goes on the perch occasionally but after all of her injuries I don't blame her.

I only finished my hols on Wednesday and I'm already tired! :)

I gave the flock some left over mash and they LOVE it, once Babs has some she gets it all over her beak and then does the cutested little motion to try and wipe it off.

Health wise for Babs she seems ok, no eggs for four days but she does that, she lays well then the shells go a bit weird then she stops laying for awhile and resumes the process anew. She seems better though. :)

12 today!

The new egg layers are starting to kick in. It was a long winter for the babies but off they go now that the hours of daylight are increasing.
 
I ran checks, cleaned it up and dumped all kinds of junk accumulated - I'm usually much more on the ball, but the laptop is Windows8 and it's not the same and I hate it.

Totally agree about Windows 8. It's meant for touch screens and is not as intuitive as the old system for click and type.

I had the same type of thing happen here, malware-wise. I couldn't do anything without the come-on showing up. I can't really blame it on BYC because that's the only thing I do online, so not sure where it came from. North Korea?

Hubs installed a good fix that he heard about from the IT guy at his office. Can't remember the name, but I'll ask him when he gets home. It got rid of some things that we have been trying to delete for a year now. Good deal.



He just got home. MalwareBytes Works great and it's free too!

Good morning. My head is still pounding so I am not going to be on much! I need to clean the coop out. My deep litter smells like ammonia so I'm going to start over. At least it is a pretty day even if it is cold!
 
Ronn... 12 eggs, YAY!!!!

I have been averaging 4 a day now.

No added light. Just the infrared heat lamp out side so that Rump has some added warmth since she is alone. I never thought that she would survive the winter. I am happy that she has and is laying eggs. Eggs are a good sign.
