Over in North eastern idaho a bunch of snow geese fell out of the sky dead. It was avian cholera. Pretty scary. We live close to several lakes and rivers with waterfowl constantly flying overhead.
Yikes! We have Canada geese, some resident, in the area. They fly around low in the mornings and evenings changing sleeping and eating spots. Avian influenza is the big worry here, and waterfowl are the main vectors. So far we're AI free in N. Calif. Experts are warning flock keepers to stay away from areas with waterfowl. You can bring it home on your shoes. We go through this every year.

A 12-year-old in Boulder, Colorado is being charged with two counts of attempted murder. She is mad her mother took away her iPhone.
Very disturbing. I tell my kids, as they stare mindlessly at their video games, that the zombie apocalypse is real and I'm looking right at it. They have limits, though. And they don't have cell phones.

Who hasn't spent hours playing Atari? Of course, we also went out to play. Ahhhh! Those were the days!
I am not into kids having too many electronics. Using mom's cell is one thing. I am not even into the lights and sounds baby toys though. I let Jazlyn have the one on the walker, but all other toys are old fashion.

That's the way to go. Start reading to her too. Makes a huge difference in their development. Don't forget the music also!
