Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

MC.... I totally understand the whole chaps and potty thing. It's like a wrestling match with yourself. I got tired of it, so I bought half chaps. Sadly... I think that my riding days might be over. Fibro fog compares my judgment and reflexes.

I'm 1374 posts behind... ahhhhh how did that ever happen! I miss you guys!

This is how my chicken raising is going... Yup I mulched my bathroom. But it's not my fault. I had 5 chickens in the shower brooder and I ordered 15 more from MPC to raise for someone else (tho I might keep a couple out of the 20 total). I had no place to put them so I taped down plastic, covered the toilet and threw down shavings. Instant bathroom brooder. I also don't have forced air heat so no worries about dust.

I'm also the proud owner of 4 ducks and 3 bunnies.

How's everyone else doing? I'm going back to read and catch up!

HI clindz! Those are some cute little chicks! What breeds are the little ones? And how do you get in the bathroom? We don't have one big enough to open the door and keep chicks too!

Hi clindz! nice to hear from you and those pics are so cute! I had chickens and chicks in my bathroom over the winter - then I moved them into the workroom once I got that cleaned up enough to make room... but it sure was easier to keep the ceramic tile bathroom clean than the old linoleum and wood room... everyone is finally outside as of yesterday! the little cockerel decided to really hide and it took me almost four hours to find him, tucked in a maze of stacked boxes. he's happily reunited and everyone is getting along great. phew.

we hit 79 degrees today downtown! only 75 on the hill, but that's crazy! it was 37 on this day last years and I was all happy and celebrating the beautiful day...what a difference! I go to the surgeon tomorrow. I'm not qualified to return to work because I can't walk with 50 lbs.

When I taped plastic to the floor I pulled it up to create a lip and it holds in the shavings. Thankfully the door opens out and not in.

I have a mix...some EE, Buff Orp, and 3 Sweedish Flower Hens I splurged on. I had to get 15 from MPC and they didn't have many to choose from so I ended up getting 4 EE bantams. OMGoodness are they the cutest little things EVER!!!

I may get some EE bantams in a few years. They sound pretty cool. Then again, if Duckling can hold a LF now, there's no "need"... Except of course the need for cute little chicken! :lau
