Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

You can always do natural wormers. Pumpkin is one. If you put a whole pumpkin in the run (or coop) it may take a few days for them to stop being afraid of it. They will then begin to peck. They will even crawl inside if they can. The seeds stun the worms, and make them leave the body is my understanding. Though I initially thought it killed the worms.
There are others, but I am not sure if it is true or not. Look it up.

Ahhhh okay. Well, we wouldn't be eating them since they're also pets so just the eggs but can they get inside the eggs??? But even if they did wouldn't cooking kill them? Or no?

And ohhh I like the natural idea! I thought you guys were gonna tell me we had to get actual wormer and shove it down their throats or wed both die hahah

I might try pumpkin. Kind of out of season now though? Do they still sell seeds or puree or something?

And maybe itd also firm up one of their poops? One has kinda runny poop or mixed with regular poop. One had a yellow/gold/brown liquid then solid with a tiny bit of liquid but seems fine now and another has rich chocolate color poop, kinda thickish but maybe because its drier. Everyone else is normal though and I've even stopped woth the treats and letting them out hoping theyll chill. Though they scratch around in their run still. Oi. They all act fine though so maybe they're just sensitive idk

Worms are a problem for them--The worms feed off of blood so they take nutrition away from the hens--Won't lay as many eggs and if there are enough worms, it will kill them. For pullets reaching point of lay, It can hurt their organs causing egg laying problems and sometimes sterilization.

From a production standpoint you want to worm them at least one set(see instructions for the worm medicine) at 16 to 20 weeks old.

Like I said though, a fecal float test, which costs about $10.00 will let you know if you need to worm. It is a good idea to test them for worms two to four times a year-depending on where you live and how bad worms are in your area. For example, here I only need to test for worms in the winter and spring. Summer and fall is too dry for worms. Other places need to check more often.

Worms and worm eggs are in the dirt. Wild birds bring them in so almost all animals that touch dirt will get worms.

The problem is not as bad as for some livestock. Apparently Goats and Sheep have worms that are nearly impossible to get rid of. With them they talk about lessening the worm load.

Ahhh i see. So they probably have them then. Theyve eaten earthworms and grubs too

Rumples has accepted baby chicks in the past, but she had been broody for almost 2 weeks. I don't want her hatching fertile eggs cuz she is crippled and I don't want her to go 21+ days on the nest. Lil Bit went brood once last year, but when I moved her to a broody crate, she freaked out and broke.

Oh well thats good!! And ahh okay, ill find some pumpkin seeds then. Hey wait, they sell seeds to plant stuff at the store would those work? Or does it have to be from a pumpkin you grow? Like a real already pumpkin?

I see no reason they have to be moist. I think they will work fine.
