Happy Mother's Day!

Hubs and the boys took me to this rose garden yesterday. It was beautiful. Very inspiring. I reserved a climbing rose. It should have it ready next month. Iris were pretty too.

I finally got the UofA pulleys out and they figured out the nest box right away. It amazes me how big the eggs are fro such a small breed

Man, my beautiful 24 week old blue Ameraucana, hay hay has been squatting for a week (she really enjoys the petting while squatting more than any other hen I've had..almost too much). Have a half dozen store bought left. Gotta wait.... think 24 weeks is early for a pure Ameraucana, but I'm hopeful.

They can go two weeks from squat to lay. Has she started in on the nest box yet? The will often do a day or two of practice egg song too.

You will get that egg soon! I hope it will be a very pretty blue color too
