Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Yes! And egg salad and frittata... ooh, and French toast...
and breakfast burritos. We have eggs for dinner once a week during the laying season. yum yum!

Time for a quiche too
I finally have a second duck egg today! I might lock them in longer tomorrow, and see if all three are laying. The Muscovy is possibly laying somewhere on the property.

Have you ever put eggs down in a nest box while you filled feeders, water or raked? I don’t think I did, but I didn’t collect yesterday, so I didn’t mark yesterday. Now I have five duck eggs in two days. Aretha is known to lay in the box, so if they are her’s, great. But they might just be eggs I forgot in there. 
... and since someone has been laying outside, I might have a sixth egg I missed.

It is quite messy if they break. My Ford key is still a bit eggy

Aretha is confirmed. It was her eggs I found in the box. I kept everyone inside until noon. Aretha laid in the box, and a Pekin laid in the back where she always does. I might get another duck and chicken egg soon.Similar threads
