Merry Christmas everyone! OK - such a great photo! Can`t wait to hear all the tales she has to tell of her venture! I received a 2 gallon galvanized steel watererwith cover and the heater base. No acv use and a lead cord from the garage... i will use it in the most severe weather only. I dont mind hauling water...
Roger was waiting in the rain when I went out this morning. Looks like she must have fell from the sky. My bet is Santa, tired of her BS pushed her out of the sled as he flew over the house. She was glad to be home.
I heard she jumped. She was on as alternate, but was so home sick, and kept squawking something about pie that no one could understand, we think she said...you aren't making it right, OK makes it different, well no one could get it right...flying over, her last words where something like. There's no place like pie...we think that's what it was. She forgot to take her chute.
Well. I had asked my girls for 8 eggs for Christmas. I got 7. I guess one of them forget to go ahopping. Lol. Had a wonderful Christmas. Hope ya'll did as well
Well, Roger at least made it across the country because on Christmas morning there were packages under our tree. My mom got a ceramic chicken from her and I got a cook book from Roger. My mom will probably post pictures. I hope everyone had a merry Christmas. I am typing all of this on my brand new laptop i got from my grandpa.
I just got home. After being gone for 48hours, I found six eggs. 2 from Penny, and four others. I assume Baby laid two. The smallest two were a medium and a Pee Wee that was one gram shy of small.
Not bad for a new layer(s?).
My Christmas gifts were clothing and worms. Remember me? I am terrified of worms, but like snakes? Everyone was uncomfortable, and told me to put the container (we are talking about the freeze dried ones) back into the bag.
Glad I was not the only one!
I did get some gift cards, a chicken magazine, and a huge Snicker's bar. It weighs 1 lb. I was very happy to get 24 new egg cartons, and I will be getting 4 bags of feed next week. Purina sent 2 coupons for $10 off 2 bags until New Year's.
Hope everyone enjoyed some family time!
Mustacheio! sounds like you had a great Christmas, and now you have a new cook book to experiment with and a new laptop to get your homework and chicken reading done...! Grandpas are awesome, treasure him every day he's with you, learn about your family, what it was like for him when he was a kid...
OK/ACW pushed, jumped... we may never know... glad she made it to W4W's and my place before throwing in the towel.
MC, I got a chicken magazine too, lol... and a dish towel with a rooster, a coffee mug with a rooster, and the 2 gallon heated waterer, which is set up for tonight as it is already 14 degrees and we are supposed to get a foot of snow overnight, and potentially another foot tomorrow during the day.
I gave the chickens some Christmas cookies that I got as gifts from my customers, and I can't eat... I gave away at least a half dozen plates/boxes of cookies to family and friends already, so the rest are for the gang, I saved the gingerbread and more plain cookies for them, the gang loved them and will get another little plate in the morning with some left over meat and fish and feed...
the news dude is saying we will have periods of snowfall amounting to 4 inches per hour. and Thundersnow... ??? what the heck is thundersnow? so I will be attempting to go to sleep very early tonight so I can get up at 4:30 or so to start the shoveling/plowing. it will be worse in the flatland and the city, as they will have a mix of rain, so they will get icy conditions, we're supposed to only have snow up here. and another storm coming for the weekend. the skiing will be great.
