Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I am not on a roll! But I do miss a good chicken patty on a potato roll with mayo. Maybe some sharp cheddar or lettuce and tomato...

Ooh! Or maybe an egg sandwich on a roll!!

Mmmmmm..... how about a BLT?

Now I'm getting hungry again!

Buuurrrp! Pardon me.

Woohoo!! Got 7 eggs today! I think the last holdout is finally laying. Was hoping to get a true blue egg, but it looks to be another green one. Not complaining, but I just can't tell the difference between the two Ameraucanas. The EE's green egg is a bit grey, so I can tell hers, but I'll have to wait until a 3 green egg day to be sure.
Did I really lay an egg?

Spot is avoiding the camera because she is molting and has lost most of her neck feathers. How embarrassing. I will have to be sneaky and get some good pics of her. Might be useful leverage some day!

Home at last, home at last! Smooth sailing all the way, last five miles started to sleet, right? The last few one lane mountain road, then 1.5 miles of dirt road pretty much straight up, you can recline like a lazy boy chair. Fire already set and blazing away.

I would pay good money to see you blasting up that slick dirt mountain road in that Mercedes with a load of broodies and mud flying everywhere.

I wish I could have stopped for the broodies, but couldn't spare six more hours! Oh well, it rained and froze last night so maybe the adjustment to cold weather would be too quick for them. Instead I had Lucy in the back. We were both happy to stop. I did go slow so not to get mud all over! Yuck. Last summer they did actually lay some crushed rock so I had something to grip....God is my Co pilot. Which brings up me driving my mil down that hill...she said how can you do this, aren't you afraid to go over the edge? (It is actually pretty scary the first time) I said. No, not really, I believe in Jesus. She had nothing else to say. :) chickens are ravenous fed them early today...feeder ran out on sat. Boy, that's cutting it close huh. Next time I'll add 50 more lbs. Neighbor fed them Sunday but they looked so hungry spoiled silly I guess. Some are snoozing inside and will make rounds later....when its a tad warmer.
