Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

animallover! good plan, and it will keep you busy doing something that you love! 4H is such a wonderful program, it's very popular around here too.

Yet Another Perfect Day!

and it's 45 degrees outside and sunny! the snow is melting, and down in the village, you can see grass on a lot of lawns. no grass visible here tho' but I did carry Peach and Si out to the driveway, gave them some BOSS and let them get some sun. the rest followed. it's supposed to be mid 40's and sunny everyday this week, except Friday, when it will stay in the 30's and rain... but Saturday is supposed to be back up in the 40's!
82 days til April 1st!

Haha... I stole from my local thread.

The woman who posted this is a big time breeder and is having to give up almost all her chickens (only keeping a few for eggs) due to chronic and debilitating back pain, but announced today that she saw a new specialist and there is hope for some relief. She might be able to get back to breeding in the future. (Figure if I share her comic I should share her story!)

Glad you are seeing some sun! Really crave it this time of year, but then in the summer I turn into something of a vampire, and stay out of the sun as much as possible.

Go figure!

W4W, I like that comic, I have to go back through my fb page from yesterday, there was one chicken comic that was quite good... thankfully, my backache is muscular... and i just have to protect it from getting worse... not lifting anything too heavy ~ it's a bit better today, and I have (so far...) a short day scheduled for tomorrow, which will help, a day to rest would be the best, but it's not gonna happen til Sunday. another carrier in my office needs some time off bc her husband tore his ACL on Sunday (ouch) so I will have to do her route... so I feel like that orange...

I'm not sure when it is, but I'll receive 25 day-old pullets, I'm not sure what breed. Then, I think in the fall, I'll show and sell 9, then I'll keep the rest! I'm personally probably going to buy some more chicks and raise them together.

Chicken surprise! Sounds like fun. Are you going to start breeding too?

I've seen this one and think it's so clever. There are some oranges on the counter...... Unfortunately, I feel more like the chickens in the other comic.
