Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Roger looks really good! She's got her new warm feathers and is ready to go play in the snow. (I suppose she'll want a snow mobile.) Spot still looks like the moths have attacked, but no bare skin any more. She still doesn't have the plush look she used to.

Your coop is great! No predators getting in there. Was it from scratch or did you convert an existing building?

I said that if anyone got frostbite, I would take care of it. Well...
No one told me that the chickens don't like having goop smeared onto their combs by flashlight after they are roosting. It may have been the circumstances, but Rocky didn't look as bad tonight. Maybe it was just (or mostly) dirt I saw earlier?
I did find another egg! 11 for the day!

Rogers feathers came in real nice. She still is not fulll like she was before the molt. The BO behind her was what I was trying to get a picture of. The BO still looks pretty rough around her neck with missing feathers. The BO is the best looking bird I have when fully feathered. I built the coop and run from scratch.

4!!!! Work chickens gave me 4 eggs!!! And a very pissy broody hen that I took them out from under. Oops!

Why are you bored? It may still be early, but if you take a long bubble bath, and read for a while, you can always go to bed early.

I can always see their little red heads peeping thru that door on the run as I approach. First it will be one...then two...and as word spreads that i'm on the way all eight little heads appear and the chatter gets louder the closer I get. "HAS HE GOT PIE? !!!!!!!....No looks like scratch and something else.....HOPE IT'S VENISON!!!!!!!........I don't think so.......MEALWORMS? .....Might be.....OK....Let's start the egg song....Sing It Louder!!...."
