Grumpus is a very poor example of a Silver Laced Wyandotte from a hatchery. You should search pictures of the quality laced Wyandottes, really gorgeous. There is a variety that is black and gold laced too. She is getting nicer as she ages, but the Grumpus name has stuck.

I was hoping that Grumpus would look more like these. They have much better lacing, but still not as nice as some examples I've seen.

How common are those? I'm starting to think my work birds are EE mixed with wyanettes. They have the same neck colors but solid black bodies.
