Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Late night update for those who would like one.

Cherry made it through today. I work sun/Monday, so husband was in charge. He have her 6ml of food slurry, and I gave her 3 about 6 pm, and another 6ml at 9. Plus water.

She is no longer listed to the side, but still seems to week to stand. She is poopong, and moving a little around the kennel. Appears she maybe drinking water on her own, but jar to tell really.

Anyone have a # of how many lbs/ounces etc a chicken should consume in a day? How many ml should I try to feed her tomorrow? Will be she ok if I feed her at 630 am tomorrow, then not again till 430pm? We both have to work.

My little sebrights are just precious too! They were very flighty as chicks. real hard time taming them down. I really need to get pics. Looking like there's 4 hens, 1 roo

cant tell on the silkies yet. I think I have 2 porcelain D'uncle..(sp?) roo and hen. then another small grey and rust colored set of bantam.(one roo there too) I am really wondering if they are serama.. One oddball blue and cream feathered foot bantam. The mealies really do help to win them over. Ugh i guess i better remember to feed the mealies too...

Ooooo, the porcelain color is gorgeous! I know someone with porcelain d'Anvers and they are beautiful. Very similar to the d'uccles (I think? that's how it's spelled, and had to ask someone how to say it - due-clay.

) but the d'Anvers don't have feathered legs/feet so better for our hot weather. I have heard they are a bit flightier than the "duckels." Do you know much about either as far as temperament?

Glad she's hanging in there. Don't know how much food they need per day. I guess try to give her a larger morning dose. Can you leave some wet crumbles for her? Be better than dry.

I think 4 oz is what i saw for LF, but dont quote me. It sounds like you will have to go that route with the feedings. glad to hear she is a little better.

No, I think both are a lil flighty but am a total noob on them so far. I am looking them both up on line to see what they are since most of the feathering has come in. I am positive on the silkies and the sebrights so far... trying to figure out the others now.

You neeeeeed to show pics too!

The only thing cuter than a chick is a teeny weeny bantam chick!

ahh well. they are cuties! These are hatched around march 5 so they are feathering nicely now. The little roos may have more change but
I think most of the feathers are in. I had a hard time putting them outside, but the breezeway gets super hot in the summer. It was time for them to be out, the dust from them was getting overwhelming.. We put them right up against the guineas and the main coop so they have the added protection.
I will muddle with my phone and try to get a few pics of the babies I am stumped with.. we can play "name that chicken" tomorrow while waiting for the hatch reports! Ohh, you have to get more serama pics, am dying to see them!

Good Luck Showbarnmom with her. Really all you can do is load her up with food and water. Same thing if you were there. Sounds like improvement. Hope it all works out.
