I couldn't remember if little Roger was actually Rogers or not.

My dad called me this evening and said he was bringing the kids' a Christmas present, and I was probably going to kill him..... he showed up 30 minutes later with this.......

Yep.... Full blooded blue heeler. He called me as he was on his way here with it! I didn't even have a chance to tell him NO! He got 2 of its sisters!

I think I just got beat by your dad Lindz for best Christmas present. I got kayaks for the niece and nephew (decided 1 nice present vs crap).... But that dog wins hands down!!! Great picture!

Clindz are you wanting me to jinx myself? I am not the happiest camper right now.... lol. But hey I guess it could have been a pony.... he has several of those in his field....
I think at the moment we have it narrowed down to either Cooper or Tyson.

I lost one of my CL's this week. She was egg bound. By the time I realized she was having a problem, and diagnosed it, I think it was too late. I did however give her a nice warm bath which she seemed to totally enjoy. And now tonite, I am missing one of my young Marans. Not a good week. I am getting 7-10 eggs a day though which is kind of good. Considering I have 17 current layers! I am also collecting some random eggs to hatch (because I am.............fill in the blank). I may put them up tomorrow. I know my AM rooster is covering all the hens in the run, and I have a blue and black copper Marans roos covering anyone they can catch (before Johnny, the AM roo, freight trains them into next week). So, if I don't hatch all boys, I should get some blue egg layers and some green egg layers at least.

OH MY!!! I am so jealous, I would LOVE to have that precious little gift for Christmas!

You did say you didn't get the kids toys this year, so this will be a good distraction.

As for names, I'd call him Trouble, because anything that cute is bound to be a boat load of trouble. Teach him to round up the chickens; we had a dog that would herd them back to the coop.
