Has to be this warm weather........I mean Pie. Yesterday I got five.hurray OK! I only got 3 today...![]()
Haha! Cheeka, I sense a theme with your animals. Is Hershey going to like the chicks getting similar names? It's gonna cramp his style!
Are Rolo and Eminem really that much smaller than the rest, or just the pics? Other than Roger2, they are automatically my faves because they are the underdogs.
We got 7 eggs yesterday, but only 4 today. Foggy, dark and drizzly here. Not eggey weather, although the rain will stop for the foreseeable future and we will get some sun and dry out a bit. Don't think I've ever had a perfect egg day. It would be 9 now that Grace is laying. No complaints, mind you, the 'frige is pretty full.
What exactly are you guys fermenting? My feed store has some whole grains, but not a huge selection. Are you making a mix? What about them getting enough protein?

Ah! The joys of new peeps!
Thismorning I was straining my first batch of fermented feed, still wondering if I should try it with the dog too. I put down the fist bowl of feed, and started filling the second. The dog came over, and gave it a sniff. Then a taste. Then he was chowing down! I always did say that dog is a chicken.
"You want good smelling poop or lots of eggs?"........ROGERRoger has informed me that FF is not a option. That Pie has everything they need. After a perfect day of laying I had no argument.
