When it comes to govt, less is more as far as I'm concerned. Getting so you can't even wipe your a...ah um... nose, yeah wipe your nose without some oversight committee convening to commission some study to derive the desperately needed regulations because we might miss the targeted nose and poke out an eye instead.

The best thing about the RBRs is that they are unassailable! With all the animal protection groups no one will dare harm a poor li'l sweet fluffy innocent chicken. They will have free rein! Mwahahaha!

If this breeding venture goes as planned we will give new meaning to the term "Barred" Rocks. I can't let Roger's best traits go to waste. Thinking of ways to customize a attack truck. If I had three roll bars that would hold eight birds each I could get 24 birds in the back of my truck. That should work fine for small cases like single family dwellings. Anybody ever see the movie "The Birds". Nothing violent tho. Just good dirty revenge,Psychological warfare from intense crowing, and vegetation eradication. Anybody going thru a bitter divorced or know somebody who is? 1-800-UN ROGER How you get chickens to lay "poop eggs"? What are they? I'm very interested.

good morning! so nice to sleep til 8:30! but the gang was a bit miffed that I was so late bringing breakfast... the temps are back up so the waterer is liquid... news is claiming that we will have 2" of freezing rain and snow tomorrow, but now wednesday will be 50 degrees! thursday, back down in the 20's... it's okay... I'll take 50 for one day... it's january after all, it's supposed to be cold.

yep, 3rd date... no holding out, my schedule is so hectic, and I have lots of responsibility at home, so I don't go out on nights before work. this is an afternoon date, so I will be home pretty early in the evening, and I have an easy day tomorrow. left word with the office of the sick carrier that I cannot help on Monday (desperately need an easy day...) or Tuesday (doing my taxes on Tuesday afternoon...) but I plan to make a nice supper one of these days and have him up for a quiet meal and maybe a TV movie... we'll see. I'm a slow mover when it comes to this kind of stuff... "distance lends enchantment" as my mother says... he thinks I'm wonderful

work so hard, have such a menagerie of animals that are so well cared for... all the things old bh found annoying, he finds attractive.

OK, a poop egg is an egg that landed in the poop under the roost. You are familiar with those too.
JC, Sally is in PA thread. She is a BIG talker there.

She said she is fine for now, but she is thinking of adding heat next year.
When the temps were only 0-10* last week, the FF was freezing in less than an hour. I am also still trying to understand just how long chickens can go without food in their face. I was told never, then 12 hours. I am too afraid of messing up, so I stick with food at all times. I would love to hear about your schedule.

Ah, then poop eggs can easily be created by first splatting the egg on target and then a second flyover to deposit the poop. Or vice versa. Accuracy training will be paramount!

So instead of FF you guys are getting FFF (frozen FF). Chilling just thinking about it! I have noticed that feed intake increased quite a bit with the cold weather, and we're not dealing with real cold here, so I can imagine your guys are eating like little piggies. At least the eggs are starting to flow.

or you can try to alter the digestive system and egg-laying system so that they literally lay poop-eggs. Eggs filled with poop

The show yesterday was great. Never have seen so many HUGE chickens and so many tiny chickens. We didn't buy any chickens, but the Serama seed has been planted for Mustacheio who fell in love with those little beauties. The roosters have such a diminutive crow that I think we can have a rooster or two and breed some mini-chickens for fun and pets for the kids. My husband, on the other hand, really liked the big boys. Brahmas and JGs and Orpingtons especially in blue. Either way, giant or bantam, we would have to build another coop to accommodate any of these guys!

I took a few pics, but mostly for capturing the individual character of some of them. It's hard to take good pics when they are caged. The bars get in the way and there is not much for scale.

Pssstttt...got room for one more? I had 5 eggs today! OK so they weren't from MY flock, but my free rangers at work. Who are the parents of my flock. I was wondering what my eggs were going to look like. My flock is made up of 3 6 week old chicks and 9 3 week old chicks. They are mixed breed and all black. We live in texas, and I've got the chick mansion anyways....took me 3 days to read this thread but I made it! And now I have to start my egg wait!
