Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

6 for me today too.  :yiipchick    And they're all really nice and large.  I washed the big dog today. She needed it sooooo bad. Really put my wonky back to the test, but I think I'll be fine for tomorrow's big event- parent chaperone on an all day field trip to the Egyptian museum in San Jose.  I've never been there, but a 2.5 hour bus ride (one way!) with a bunch of screaming 6th graders is a steep price to pay. If I don't log on tomorrow, you'll know what happened.:th

Showbarnmom, what's the most exotic animal at the exotic animal park?  Do you work with all the animals or just a few? What's your fave?  Got any road runner eggs in that dish?  I've never heard of anyone on BYC hatching road runner eggs. You could be the first!   I'll stop now.  :D

Hmm...we have hyenas, sevrals, lots of lemurs, zebra, but no road runners. But Bug looks like one...and he is from work....

he looks a bit like one, but I don't think he is.

Lemurs are soo cool! I would sit for hours watching them interact up at the chicago zoo, Brookfield? cant remember now.

W4W you are a brave soul LOL, I used to do girl scouts with my oldest (30 now) I do sometimes miss all the little giggles and squeals. :love

Nah he isn't a roadrunner but he is fast!!! Lol!
Here ya go :)

Perfect 7 for me today! 6 eggs from the dome when I got out there. they only spent about 15 minutes outside before the squall moved overhead. suddenly it was snowing quite hard and they hightailed it back. fine by me! it was nasty out. so I spent the afternoon cleaning the chicks crates and feed and water stuff... Peach has to go out soon... I need the crate for the chicks. they are getting so big. I did not get pics today, I need more memory cards, but I did delete most of one card, and charged up the battery. semi long day tomorrow, but I will take pics!

I got all absorbed in a jigsaw puzzle, and have to go pick away at it for a little while before bed... W4W, I had to laugh about Mustacheio... I never had a bedtime or a curfew, because I would just go to bed. I was tired... my folks kept us so busy, to keep us out of trouble... I was pooped out! I used to ask if I could stay up to watch Carol Burnett and of course my mom always said "yes' because she just knew that I could never make it that late...think i did it twice... sometimes, prying me out of bed wasn't easy... but I had to get up at 4 am for swim team from September through April, and then summer league started in May and ran through August. I would get 2 weeks off every year. summer league was nice, practice at 8 am, instead of 4:45... Goodnight All!

did my post really come out all spaced out like that? it wasn't like that when I typed it...?
and it doesn't look like that under "edit"... and it isn't doing it with this post... hmmmm

My oldest 2 sisters did swim team. From there to lifeguards. It has saved them many times, even now. If they ever need some extra money, they lifeguard at the YMCA or local pool. One sister married a lifeguard/certifier. He spends a lot of time working as a lifeguard or certifying lifeguards throughout the year.

Well, that's the problem then, his life is way too easy! Haha! We are all home-bodies here, no one is fond of crowds and loud venues. Both boys learned to swim, but neither enjoys competition much. Things have changed quite a bit from when we were kids. If you decide at 8 years old that you want to take up soccer or something, then you are way behind the curve because everybody else started at 4! My guys were more interested in Legos at that age. Mustacheio does take fencing lessons

and he's in with the older more serious folks (the classes for his age were too squirrely which he hated) so he gets beat up pretty good there. My current plan is to get him back into 4H raising chickens. There are these lovely, but entirely useless, mini chickens called Seramas that he fell for at that chicken show we went to last weekend. The roosters are not very noisy, so we could have a couple for breeding without annoying the neighbors too much. Seramas can't take temps less than 40* (they weigh under a pound), so they will probably be kept in the garage, which will also cut down on the noise. Still in the initial planning stages, and I may come to my senses before it's too late, but it would be fun to hatch our own eggs!

Oh dear, hubby's eyes are rolling back up into his head again! He really is an animal lover at heart, he just doesn't know it until I bring them home!
