Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Guess what?? My Marans egg this morning was darker! Not as dark as it should be, but darker nonetheless!!

I will post a picture tonight when all the eggs are collected.

uh oh... it starts with lipstick... followed by perfume, then she'll want a perm... frizzle is in y'know... next is jewels... and a tin foil tiara will not do.

Stay close by cheeka. I will need you for advice. I have no experience raising girls. Do you think I could fingernail polish her beak instead?

so cool! I've got to get a pair of marans, and a pair of speckled egg layers... maybe even a pair that lays white eggs... it's been a long time since I've seen a white egg!

I was thinking about the white eggs too.
Can you dye medium brown eggs? I am pretty sure the light brown ones would dye okay.
I was watching "Anger Management" last night (it is what Charley Sheen is doing now that he messed up the other show). He was using brown eggs. I was surprised by that detail.

these are cute little herb planters, made from real, clean, dried egg shells and the little 2" clay dish. there's a bazillion egg craft ideas, and lots of coloring quests. you can definitely color all the different colored egg shells, just some of them can't be turned bright yellow...

AL, you will be up to your shoulders in feathers and eggs!

the Araucana/Ameraucana will all be EE at that price, but that's really what you want anyway, much prettier feathers, and truly very hardy, often better than fairly friendly natures... next to heritage barred rocks with their dizzying ringlets, everyone knows EE's are my favorite!

Peach is still sitting, I'm still not sure if there's anything in any of them. she was up and eating early this morning and I had an opportunity to check, but I've no idea... I guess I need to take them into a darker room and hold a light behind them? I'm so woefully ignorant... that's one subject I've read zero about. shame on me... but there were no pips, zips, snaps crackles or pops... it's too soon anyway. if I counted right, it's more like 3-4 (or even 5) days to go from when she got down and serious about sitting. besides... I'd be afraid that I might drop one... so, I'm keeping my hands to myself. all I had the courage to do was roll them around a little in the nest.

I have to laugh at this, my oldest was girls scouts. imagine 19 girls all 14ish, with a licensed "cosmetologist"

we did a camp-in and my friend came, bought her young daughter too. She was we used to call a "beautician". We worked on a badge, and all the girls got a "makeover" We had so much fun that night
