A relative lives in NJ, but has a trailer (like a house, not the vacation type) in their son's backyard. They are only there for about two weeks a year, so her staying there will not be a problem. She has also agreed to put in an application for a senior apartment.
Meanwhile the furnace is broken in the trailer. If they get themselves in gear, it can be fixed on Monday. I am not trying to be mean, but she has been with me for every holiday for the past few years. I really hope she can be in the trailer before next weekend. If she is here, she will insist on being in the middle of our Easter traditions again. I really don't need that.
I got a surprise when I closed up the coop. 3 more eggs. And all in the same nest. Odd, but I am not looking a gift horse (chicken) in the mouth (bottom)!

Just got back (9:30pm) from visiting grandma and grandpa up north and was nervous about the mob not being locked up properly, but all was well and 8 eggs for the day were waiting to be collected.

We had some very sad news today. My husband's BIL (sister's husband) died this afternoon. He had been struggling with pneumonia for months, but two days ago was informed that he also had lung cancer. We think he just let go at this news, which was no surprise to him. Just a few days before, the focus was on rehab and recovery, so his wife is quite stunned. Very sad; he was a nice gentleman and will be missed. Love the ones you're with.
