Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Hey guys! I was so lonely in band today. I'm used to being the only French horn, it's been that way for 3 years now. But when the trumpets are gone, too, it gets kinda depressing. They were all on a trip or something. (There are 3 trumpets)

awesome! We have 5 or 6 flutes, I think 5 alto saxophones, 4 I think clarinets, 2 tubas, 2 baritones, a tenor sax, a bari sax, 3 trumpets 1 French horn (me), 3 trombones. So yeah

I wanted to play french horn badly. I thought it had a beautiful tone. If you ever get a sound clip please share it! I would love to hear

thanks! My band director says it's the hardest instrument because the partials are so much closer than any other instrument.

Animallover, only a few more days until shipping day! Is your brooder all set? Got chick starter? Batteries in the camera? Because i want to see lots of cute pictures.


Cheeka, your kennel-pens are great and you got them for a great price. It's amazing how the flock dynamic can change by removing one individual. When my testosterone soaked Leghorn hen was in reeducation camp in the garage, things were very peaceful and calm out in the coop.

Speaking of my manly Leghorn, she laid an egg today!! First time in about 8 days. 10 eggs in all today!

Still waiting for that elusive perfect day (11).

He's probably just exhausted sitting up all night checking on those eggs and threatening Roger with a crock pot.

the boys are doing well this morning, no disruptive behavior causing tarps to move and allow access to the next section... I did lay stone on the base of the tarps... each stone weighs more than any of them... figured it was a safe bet... I'm pretty happy with the kennels, each boy has a 10x5x6 foot space.

all right... I don't know what happened in the 20 minutes since I first looked outside, saw all four boys, each in their own section. when I went out to feed and water... Royce is in his space, but Si and Carl are in Archie's space ??? I can see how Carl could get in there, but Si? there's no hole to slip under, and he certainly didn't squeeze thru chain link...lol... I guess he waited til the breeze was just right and had lifted the roof tarp a bit? and flew over? anyway, they are not fighting, they seem quite content and ate breakfast together. so... I will take down the dividers, give the 3 the whole kennel, and give Royce the entire other kennel. seems as tho' they can make their own arrangements and teach Mother a thing or two...
