Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

This sounds more like a stress nightmare than a dream. Any normal person would say, ah don't worry they're just chickens. But we know the truth! Glad you added that last bit because that's exactly where my mind was going!

Roger looks nice and puffy in that picture. I'm surprised she let anyone near her nest. She probably can't even get up to take a drink without them swooping in on her eggs. Talk about stress!!
 
Grrrrr... Look what I found today...i was scared because one of my hens was lost...Maggie got a bunny last night since we found dead bunny this morning. Then I found this...

She just confirms that she can't be allowed near the chickens. The new girls make louder noises than mine. But we got another egg this time from. The welsummer. So how does roger and the BO look? Any peeps?

the fruits of my labor. Some friends stopped by and I have them some jam, eggs, and beer. It's been a productive morning.


My husband is working on this today for the new girls move.

8 eggs laid today and I found that hide away with two from yesterday. I float tested to be sure they are ok. I was missing those eggs yesterday and thout maybe it was just all the hubbub of activity ...humpft sneaky little Easter eggers. Maybe the Easter bunny convinced them to hide them.
 
OK, do you hear any peeping from the eggs yet? that was so exciting for me... I couldn't believe that it could be heard so clearly... what is it... 17 days for Peach? I do have it written down...

work was good today, mail was on time and not too heavy... I had a double route to do and was seriously worried about making the truck, but i did great, and am home earlier than expected. can't stay inside long, the birds are out... but I had to check on OK's hatch... and report 17 eggs already! might get 18, Miss Yancy is in and out of the nest area...

double routes or huge routes everyday next week... lots of OT, but not much time for anything else, so I have to get organized! off to start a quick load of laundry, then back outside I go!
