Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

.............. that beautiful tile floor in my bathroom... it was all done years ago, and done well... all the tiles face the same way. Until .... old BH, plopped himself down on the potty really hard. broke the toilet, down to the ring in the floor, cracked several tiles... a right mess! my handyman back then didn't notice that all the tiles were facing the same way, so when he replaced the cracked ones, he put them all willy-nilly. it drives me batty!

15 Eggs today, and so much mookin' around at lock down that I had to go get a piece of paper, write down all their names, and check them off as I spotted them dashing about... there was no way to count them...

fun day (most of it anyway), the kitchen got 1 coat of paint, it looks so pretty, needs another coat... that's tomorrow... and I finally stopped at the farm stand and got some fresh sweet corn... it's late already, and I don't like to eat this late, but I gotta have some! I would have had some earlier, but Chester was naughty. he got into the trash... spread it all over, and he got into the fridge! he ate a package of chicken, a package of angus hot dogs, a stick of butter and half a bag of carrots. I don't know how much he shared with Ruby... but what a mess!

Missing you too JC! and W4W... and AL... Summer is such a busy time... sorry if I missed a name or 2... Corn's up! later gater!

So, I went to the local livestock auction to check it out. I was thinking it would be a good place to sell my over abundant roosters. I didn't even bring that much money with me! But, I still came home with 20 chicks (10 black copper marans, and 10 blue marans), and 3-4 month old chickens (olive eggers). Now I know what you mean when you say chicken math!! My family will no longer be whispering "hoarder", they will be saying it out loud!

I do have to say it was hard for me to see the animals crammed in too small cages with no food or drink (any water in the cages was soiled), and it was so hot! I am hoping everything I brought home, makes it through the night! I understand that, for many people, this is food, it is safer to carry them by their feet, etc., it is just hard for me to see. On the upside, one of the older OE decided she would take care of the chicks! She wasn't big enough, but she tried to fit all 20 chicks under her! I gave her half of them. Figured it was better for her to do it, then me! Luckily I just emptied out the nursery and I had an open small coop! I think I now have 43 chickens, 5 horses, 3 dogs, and 2 cats!

Chicken math strikes again!!
I know what you mean about the conditions. My 2 didn't even have water. There was no room! The EE was fortunate enough to be able to run under the other chicken's legs. I only bought the two because I wanted the others to have more room. They were the first two chickens (of 18) to ride the motorcycle.
