Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I decided to sprout some BOSS for the chickens. It really is a simple process and they absolutely loved it! I started it in the tub, but then decided to put it in jars with screen over top which is easier.....

First your rinse your seeds really well until the water runs clear. Then put them in your jar and fill it up with water to soak them overnight. Put the screen then the metal ring on the jar. After they soak overnight, drain them and rinse them off and drain again. I then put the jars upside down in the tub so that they could continue to drain the excess water. You rinse and drain once or twice a day until they have sprouted as much as you want them to.... These are at 3 days....

Nice job w the BOSS. I ordered barley and wheat to do the same thing. Can't wait to try it!

I asked at the feed store about wheat and barley, but was told that you have to get it in 50 lb bags....

That's a LOT of sprouts! LOL

So, today, instead of going to work, I got to dig trenches! My waterline ruptured. I am so tired. But, I got to the leak and exposed it. Hopefully, my neighbor will be able to help me fix it and get me back among the civilized with indoor plumbing tomorrow.

UGH! We had a line break under the house. I am the only one small enough to get under it and into the area to fix it.
Did I mention how much spiders give me the creeps?!?
Lots of cobwebs, but too cold for the nasties

I bet they loved it!
I really need to do fodder, this has turned into a harsh winter.
I have burlap to make the bags, just need to get motivated!

We just had a major breakthrough today. My husband has always said no to having boys. But when I showed him the BCM I think is a boy he asks me what I was going to do with him.... I said I would like to keep him and we could use the temporary run as his home once the girls move to their permanent spot.... He agreed!!!!!
