Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Roger sounds like her wonder warm beautiful Diva self. (cough... cough)

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts. Mom will not do well for the PT after surgery.
We know the date by Monday hopefully. DH is already planning ramps for a wheelchair.
With all both of my parents will have done this year, I already know we will need safer mobility.

Dang, I need a DH/Enabler!

Glad Roger is in good form! Today, I need to make a compost bin so that I don't have to look at the girls when they pick through the compost

Then, I should work on making some sort of chicken tractor for George and Astrid. They have outgrown their brooder and need a little run around room. I can't let them free range because the little darlings are pretending they are wild at the moment and I would never get them rounded up in the evening. Plus they are about pigeon sized, which, I believe, is prime flying time and I don't want them to go over the fence.

I also need to start pawning eggs off on my friends.

Well we had some more snow (really just a coating) and what did I see??? Squirrel tracks leading INTO the coop!!! I was fine when they were just hanging in the run but I knew it wouldn't take long for them to figure it out!!! So out I went with another roll of hardware cloth and now there are no squirrel sized openings!!!!

no one would set a toe outside in the Group of Seven or the Fosters. a few of the Dome Dwellers came outside for about one minute and then beat feet back inside... I shoveled the fresh stuff and everything. uncovered a big patch of grass that I couldn't entice anyone close enough to notice it. I've got a nice snack of leftover bean soup for later.

5 Eggs so far, should get a few more... at least I hope I do. 1 from the Fosters, and I know who laid it.

I'm glad that everyone seems to have had a good day today! I went and got my grandma and we went up to my great aunt's house. My g.Uncle passed away on Friday, and we hadn't been able to go up there because of the snow. The viewing is tomorrow with the funeral following.

The past couple of days have been low eggs today. I only got 7 and 1 broken one today. Not sure exactly what is going on, but I am missing the double digit days!

Most of the snow has melted and we have a muddy mess! It is slick and I slipped and slid trying to go feed and gather eggs today. Hubby came down there and we started rearranging the stuff in the big building so that we can start getting it ready to move the chickens over into. Lots to do before we can get them moved though.
