So sorry to hear you will be feeling the cold a bit longer. Your bad weather seems to coincide with our needed rain days.W4W, she sure looks like a broody with her plucked breast! she's darling and whatever you choose for her name will be great, except Thingy. she's more deserving than that... and you've got me wondering if Dinah Shore was teased as a little girl and called Dinah Saur.....that never occurred to me before, I bet she was......
the plow just went rumbling through, it's 2* outside but sunny and clear. we're not supposed to have any precipitation today, but we have 2 more storms coming in the next week. so much for temps staying above zero for the first week of March too. such a bummer. the extended forecast is so depressing that I turned it off before I returned to my bed until it's all over.
Thingy isn't really under consideration for the Silkie, it's just a lack of an appropriate adjective on my son's part. He loves the chickens, and heads out most days after school for some chicken therapy. To heck with learning breed names, he has his own pet name for each of the groups. The big girls are Squooshies, Seramas are Squeakies, and the Cochins are Fluffies. So far the Silkie has defied description and there is doubt that she is actually a chicken at all.

Chicken therapy with Peach, one of the Squooshies. Somebody's happy.
