Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

The other BCM laid her first egg today. It looks much like her sister's first egg.

From the one I got an egg on Thurs, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue... looks like she'll be a nice consistent layer. And her egg is finally in the medium range.

But I'm sooooo bummed. My DH was the one who got to hear the egg song. I came home from work and he was outside with the puppy and said, "I think she just laid an egg 'cause she's in the coop and is noisy". Sure enough, the egg was still slightly warm.

Some of my EE look like they might be ready too as their getting much redder. It's so eggciting!!!

well we went to tractor supply and oh them peeps were so cute, yes I came home with 6, that means we now have 34 hens and 2 roos, yep I got them, hubbie was talking about going to action to see if they have any yet, I beat him, now I am not sure if he is going or not. we got 22 eggs today but its been a mth since bluey gave us an egg.

right now the peeps are in the living room,

What breed are they?

Aww, cute chickies!

Grrrrrrrrrr - George is driving me batty. She wants to just hang out in the nest box, hiding from the others. She hasn't pooped in there, yet, but the other two laid their eggs in there and one was kicked out, broken and EATEN. I wish I could make her understand that she just needs to go out and try to hang with the others a little and Astrid will whup anyone who looks at her wrong.

Whoops, it just will take it's time... I added Peach's first 3 at 12 weeks and they hid in the coop all the time except free range when they dashed back to Mama. I had to remove them from their former home at roost time for at least a week, probably longer, I can't remember. they're at the top of the order now. Patience Grasshopper. it will work out.

Olive and Delilah were sparring each other this afternoon, don't know what brought it about, but they were chasing each other pretty equally. still wasn't nice.

Sigh, I will try. I just feel for her Be happy, chicken! Now!

Plus, this hiding in the nest box is causing eggs to be broken and eaten, and I am worried I will be dealing with those kinds of bad habits.

I lost 3-5 eggs to an egg eater today. I am 95% sure it is a GLW or all 4. I can only hope to figure it out before the end of May or whenever I sell of another 10 or so chickens.
