Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Soltaria, that looks like a fab recipe! being gluten free, I like crustless recipes - I can make a good GF crust, but have gone so many years without, I prefer not eating it. I have so many eggs in the fridge, I was considering rereading the earliest posts that A Chicken Wrangler had posted for those incredible cakes that take 8-12 eggs...

Thanks, we do grain free when we can (paleo). I try to avoid them but it's hard because I love fried snacks and cookies. Bread is the hardest for my husband but I'm really not a big bread fan so it's not as difficult for me. I would rather eat a patty with the trimmings than add bread and make it a hamburger.

I've just recently done some reading about the Paleo diet. guess I've been living a mostly Paleo-lifestyle without realizing it... but I do eat some grains, like rice... and an occasional potato, but mostly, I like yams and sweet potato. I went so long without bread because the GF stuff was awful. now, there are better choices, but it's so expensive, it's a luxury. also I forget that I even have it in the freezer... I'd much rather have the patty and the trimmings too!

but, I must say, that GF bread makes a much better french toast than any regular bread! the density really holds up to the egg wash - I remember regular bread getting skinny from the soaking.

ETA and bread pudding! Gluten Free Bread Pudding is the bomb!

I go by the Primal Blueprint which allows potatoes and sweet potatoes but recommends you stay under 150g carbs per day so just not very many of them.
GF bread pudding, eh? I love bread and rice pudding. Not sure how much I would like a variation on perfection lol.

Edited because I can't type and puuding is not a word. :p

good morning everyone! I went to sleep really early last night...

W4W, what a relief to have Ming found! hopefully the wanderlust is cured with a not much fun outing and a hardy meal upon return!

Gorgeous eggs and fabulous chicks - I so love all the pics! my broody pen is basically ready for someone to move in... just waiting for the broody urge...

I have to redo the carpet in the living room, the smell returned last night and this morning it's so pungent! I really was hoping to not have to pull the carpet, but I may not be so lucky.

24° early this morning, but warming quickly - should be in the 50's today and they've changed the forecast to include wind, but southerly, so it should be somewhat of a warm wind. can't wait to get back for some free range! have a great day all!

Before making a big effort with the carpet, you might give this stuff a try. They say it's best to let it air dry, but I found you can saturate the area, let it soak in good, then use a towel to sop up some of the extra. It will give off some smell while drying (a fan helps), but I've had good results over the years. Works on removing smell better than on stains. Not sure if you can use it in a carpet cleaning machine; would be cool.

If the area is in a corner, maybe you could just pull up the carpet a bit to facilitate drying, and then lay it back and reattach to the tack strips. Most people put new carpet in anyway when they buy a house.

Speaking of which, any more lookieloos?

Yay for pips!

I can second the nature's miracle. My cat needed to be taken the to the ER vet one night and I didn't have time to find the cat carrier. I threw him in the car and as soon as we started rolling, he peed on my front passenger seat! I soaked it really good with that stuff and put a fan on it and rolled all the windows down. I was dubious, but when it was completely dry, it was odor free. Good luck!
