Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

thanks, it's so true... she has times when she's like a 2 year old, jumping up on her personal little table... very affectionate, and other times when she falls off the little table, doesn't land on her feet, has difficulty getting up and looks really vacant. she sleeps a lot.

There is a chicken (bird) swap next weekend. I have 26 chickens. 2 roosters. IDK how many to sell, and I have a bigger ptoblem. Some of them look bad. One is BAD! It is mostly molting, and some of it is probably because there are 2 roosters, and some girls are favorites. I have not seen any sign of bugs, so I not thinking that is an issue. Several birds have fluff near their tails.
My point! What do I do? The Golden Comet I want to sell is the one that looks horrible. Her sister is fully feathered, but her personality is what I want to keep. When the whole rest of the gang is running from the rake, she is investigating what I am doing!

Is it possible to have a broody this early? My silkie (6 mos old) was on the nest all evening and when I went to grab the eggs she wasn't happy and kept trying to roll them back under her. I don't know if I want her to be our not. Of course it's the fake nest which 4 use. But it would be easy to section it off if needed.
