@lindz8504 So sorry for the loss of chickens. That really sucks. I hope that you get the culprit. Hugs

she reminds me a lot of my Limin Chikin. She's an EE, but no beard.Peach is a bantam EE x Buff Cochin. she has a lot of the buff Cochin traits, but has black in her feathers, ("undesirable") and her leg feathering is on the light side, but she does have them. she also sports a beard, which has molted away momentarily, and she lays a gorgeous green egg. I've heard it's rare to have an EE go broody, but she has been my little champion, starting at around 8.5 months of age, just after she laid her 8th egg. she's the best Mama. lots of hens in my flock were under her care if not actually hatched by her... so she holds a high rank, despite her wee stature.
yes, this is her.Is this from the chicken we were starting to suspect might be sick and not just ready to bring forth an egg? Very pretty....Congrats!
MY FIRST EGG! SEE WHAT COLOR IT IS?

its light blue (not really green at all, thinking she's got leghorn in her pedigree) with white speckles!

This one shows the color better.
