be it's totally ok to ask a question here... If we don't know we'll certainly tell you and then if you haven't already go check out other threads!!

Squatting is a behavior of hens and does not mean you have a rooster. I had no rooster and most of my hens would squat for me.

W4W thanks for the education on feathers. I knew generally what saddle feathers were but not hackle. I know I have a baby too cause I'm hearing pathetic attempt at crowing but I'm not certain if I only have the one... Could have another!'

Oh and PB don't get fooled by the normal white spot on the yolk thinking it's the sign. If you'll see from a couple days ago I did... Cracked quite a few EXTRA (sorry Mortie couldn't resist) eggs in my quest thinking they were fertile!! Oh well... The girls got quite a few scrambled eggs that day

I have a Canon Rebel T3i and I used the 300mm lens. I took about 20 shots while fiddling around with different settings. I get confused with these digital cameras and all of the buttons to push and I refuse to read directions. I used my computer to zoom in on and sharpen the image. I am looking for a winter photography class to take at the local college.

I love having chicks too, but what do I do with them when they grow up?? I want to keep them all. Selling a pullet is much easier than a cockerel. Maybe you have friends who would like to begin a flock of their own?? It would be fun hobby and you could put your brains together to solve problems.

Oh the one on the left is Wilson's. The car is not as different in real life, it's only a teeny bit darker. It is going to be tough for me to tell them apart. Good girl, WILsON!!! 43 grams. Very respectable.

Here are Bitty's new chicks! Hubby moved them into the feed room side of the coop and took the pictures this morning. He also got some pictures of the babies at my aunt in law's but didn't turn off the red brooder light.
