Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Oh my it happened again. My husband calls me at work to tell me we have another egg and as we are on the phone he says make that had an egg! Now my oldest daughter went to put it on counter and dropped it :-(

Not at all! The problem is that we have late afternoon layer so I'm not home to get it so their father lets them. But he is going to get them from now on

Hey everyone! We are still out of town and we are taking the kids to the park today. I think we are heading home in the morning! I am excited because I miss my hubby and the chickens. Then Saturday, we have to go get the chicks and my new pullets from my aunt in law. Yay! Bummer on the dropped eggs. I have dropped several and it is always so disappointing. Yay for all the new layers! School starts the week after next here, and we need to go shopping. My oldest two will be in first and second grades.

Not at all. I am at work when she lays so I'm not there to supervise. Only my husband and he's got orders to handle the eggs himself!

All this talk of going back to school...where did the summer go? I've got two in college and one on his own, but it's still strange to not have to really do anything. Except pay tuition, lol.

My New Hampshire, Lucy, has laid her 7th perfect egg in a row today. I figured she would take a day off by now, but no. Still nothing from the others.
