Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

TN I would advise you to have your temps stabilized for 24 hours before you out any eggs in. It gives you some opportunity to notice any idiosyncrasies your bator might have and to just get the feel of it. There is really nothing worse than checking your bator and thinking you have fried your babies. I ran mine for 2-3 days before I put the eggs in just to be sure. Incubating is fun and rewarding as long as nothing awful happens, I am looking g forward yo seeing your babies!!

Get ready for a bunch of pictures. They are from my cell phone and the chickens weren't all that cooperative. I definitely want opinions on pullets/cockerels on the little ones.

They are just mixes out of my flock. I had a Blue Am. Rooster and a Black copper maran roo over my golden comets and Easter Eggers. That's what all the babies are...... I can usually figure out which is the dad based on feathered legs or muffs..... I also try to keep up with what egg they come out of but it does not always happen.

Depends on if it's still air or forced air. Still airs should be at 102 depending on where your thermometer probe is. It should be 102 at the top of the eggs. looking for 101-102 in a still air.

Forced air should be about 99.5.
