Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Can't sleep but can't stay awake. If there ever was a more icky thing. I'd err more toward sleep. Do you have a heat pack? Sometimes a warm heat back applied to the back of my neck (or anywhere, really) makes me sleepy. Anything with menthol to clear the sinuses? If it were me I'd be in the recliner with my favorite movie and maybe a heat pack hoping to doze off. Good luck!

I was watching Friends today with all of the Chick and Duck episodes and I noticed that instead of going through the awkward teenage feather stage with the chick, they went from chick, to silkie, to white leghorn rooster to symbolise growth. Huh, I never notice that before.... :)
Edited to add pics, could find could quality ones though, oh well...

Quote: Oh that is too funny! Well, television producers must give the people what they want, and the people want pretty chickens, not funny looking half-fuzz half-feathered little baby buzzards. It's okay, we still love them at that stage. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I can't believe I forgot about honey!
I just managed to plug in my bedside lamp and alarm clock. I had to move the bed to do it. I am also doing laundry. I am as proud of this as I would be climbing Mt. Everest.
Now I need to move the Christmas tree and plug in the television and DVD player. No cable.
Dh just sent me a text saying he won't be home for another two days. I hope that he doesn't come home to find me dead, and the dog eating my hand. :p

Hope you feel better, MC.

Hot honey and lemon water is the first thing that came to mind. And if I want to sleep, an adult beverage will do the trick for me. I'm not much of a drinker, so a little alcohol goes a long way. The other thing that helps if I'm having any aches or pains or am just tense, is ibuprofen (Advil). Helps relax the muscles to relieve the coughing so I can sleep.

CLindz, your lil' babies are growing up!

It's funny how suspicious they are of new things. Takes several introductions and one very brave bird to get past the fear. Kind of like kids with green veggies. Keep putting in front of them and they will eventually eat it without a fuss.

Min, sometimes ignorance is bliss and sometimes it's just ignorance.

Since going on BYC, I can't be casual about chickens on TV any more. It's neat to see ones in really old movies, nice big sturdy heritage birds. You notice the quality. My pet peeve with birds in the movies is when the hero is struggling for his life out in the middle of no where and hears a hawk call, so he looks up to see... a turkey vulture. They show the majestic bird soaring in the blue sky... it screeches again... Haha! Turkey vultures are silent. The best they can manage is a loud hiss.
