Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

well our blueie is back to laying, got a blue egg 3 days now first since Sept, we got 23 eggs, i would love to get one from every chicken just once to make sure they are all laying, we had closed the new coop and put everyone back in camper coop but found 4 under camper last night, had to send dog in so they would come out, 3 came out so we had to get down with net and pull her out, just to cold for any to sleep out side plus we have to many animals that like to eat them. not sure who is sleeping where tonight i got DH to open door to go from one to the other so now they have both again. i just hope the ones that sleep in coop are warm. we did not let them out today so i know they are all in coop.

Phoenix our easter egger layed her first egg today! It's a light shade of pink.
And then this guy showed up.
heard my brave Lil silkie tucked safely in his coop screaming his head off. I was next door, inside and heard him, so I ran over... he was eating the food for the free range roosters.. He even ate out of my wife's hand. We hoped we had a new duck, we even filled up a Lil pool for him. But he flew away after he got full.
Nice egg! I live in town, and a number of years back, right after it rained, we had a group of ducks to waddle down our street. There was around 10 ducks. They came in our yard and we threw out some food, then they waddled on down the street and took off. Really strange. I took pictures and I'll try to find them. They were also mallards.

Lindz - cute dog and egg!

3 eggs so far today. Things are looking up. Parading past the run with KFC worked! Everyone's all pepper flakes! Different food! More light! None of those work as well as showing them some KFC or a rotisserie chicken...

Yeah. you keep thinking that. Really you dropped your wallet in the run and we've been running out every day to the store to get some eggs to put in the nest box. Whatever you do, don't look under the pile of shavings in the corner of the coop. Also...don't be mad when the credit card bill comes. We bought Hedwig a coat since she's minus some feathers. And a few 50 lbs bags of scratch...and a couple flock blocks...and a couple of cases of those hand warmers to keep under our wings...and some other stuff...just don't be mad kay?
