Lots of drama there! Sheesh!
I checked the chickens, and there were five on the roost. Worry for Bonnie made me enter. I found one egg on the ground, and every single other egg in the one nest box. It's a small (maybe 20 gallons) tote with half the lid cut out. It was a brooder a few years ago. I put it in for the turkeys to get out of the sun or nest. Now it is where I want the chickens to lay. I can't believe that they all used it the whole week, and in one pile! They were still laying under the box I built for sleeping in when I left!
I just came in, and haven't counted the eggs yet. With temperatures in the 90s, would you eat them (especially because they are fertile)?
