Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

You've got big plans, MC! Nothing worse than old carpet.

My sister bought a house a few years ago, and I helped her remove the carpeting from the whole house. It was disgusting! They had small dogs who seemed to have peed everywhere! Deterioration was so bad the carpet would fall apart as we tried to pull pieces out. Some of it was so threadbare, you could see through it! I think it was original from when the house was built in the 70s. How do people live like that?? Sis put laminate flooring everywhere, and new carpet just in the bedrooms. Much better!

IDK how they lived like this. I think they were just oo old to do anything about it. My mother-in-law told me AFTER I got up the courage to take out some carpeting (I didn't want Dave's aunt's feelings to be hurt that I was changing her home) that Aunt Lee had wanted the carpeting taken up for years.

I would have done it while she still lived here had I known!
Some layers of carpeting did crumble.

In the dining room, there is linoleum with a thin carpet over it. I have left it alone because I don't like solid floors in dining rooms. I have had wood floors. Just don't like it. Even with a toddler. Also, linoleum is slippery. Duckling (and I) has fallen several times in the kitchen because of a little water or milk on the floor.
That being said, The carpet can be taken up, and used in the living room if I were so inclined. I don't think I am. Carpeting in the living room will happen ASAP. But I want it to be something I like (not green!!!!) and thick. Ohhhhh! I miss thick carpeting!

We'll be there when we get there!

Happy March!

We are expecting quite a rainy first half of this month.

It barely rained all of Feb, so we are back in deficit territory. Next couple of weeks could get us back to normal. Come on rain!!!

Did you guys know my keys were missing? They are found. They were under the flour mill in the kitchen. Couldn't even see them with a flashlight, but I was swiping under there looking for the oven mitt Duckling had been playing with, and heard the keys scraping.

Duckling walked about a mile today. Plus all the running and playing in the yard. I will post pictures when I get onto my phone.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
