Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I have not done a duck yet. I suspect the reality of killing a soft, fluffy duck will be more difficult. I just now realized that marring the white feathers with the crimson of blood will be hard too.

I can't process them either, and at this point, I don't even want to eat them if someone else processes them. I've eaten 3, and they were scrumptious, but it made me sad.

W4W I can have spinach, arugala and water cress for the leafy greens. I'm not fond of water cress, it's like eating grass... but I do like spinach, especially baby spinach, and arugala is okay, I don't mind bitter...
I can also have broccoli and cauliflower, asparagus (yum!) and bok choy, but I've never eaten that, have no idea how to prepare, but I will google....bell peppers are also on the list.

I've got a lady coming within 30 minutes to take away a bunch of the large half Silkie bantams. it will help to reduce my numbers... I also offered some of the 3 year old large fowl, but discovered yesterday that one of them has bubble eye, mycoplasma! so they are all being treated and I won't infect her flock with any of that mess.

best part of the food items on the list? Butter and Eggs! and Avocado! I love Avocados! and I can eat a half of one every single day.

can't load pics, but the rest of the eggs still float, one wiggles, so I tucked it under another broody and went to TSC and bought 6 straight run RIR chicks. gave 4 to Gossy who was instantly perked up and delighted and 2 to the unnamed Mama of 1, she rejected them, so I gave them to Gossy, zip right under they went and if a chicken could smile, she was beaming!

anyway, when I was half way through writing this, the lady showed up. she took 8. I gave her Thelma and Louise (she has cats by those same names so she loved that!) but I didn't tell her they are chick killers. I am so glad to be rid of those two! she took 3 white half Silkie's and 1 that is probably one of the blue egg layers (brown and gold)... but I don't really know who lays what... and 2 peach colored half Silkie's. this will help me a lot and gave me a lot more room. funnily enough, after we got 4 from one pen, and were heading to the next section, we noticed a peg missing from the side of her cage... and all 4 slipped out! I broke an egg on the ground to lure them back while she duct taped the gap and we were able to catch them really easily.

I like all those things listed, but seems like a short list. Kale? Romaine or curly leaf lettuce? Bok choy is very mild. A lot like chard, which I think would be on the list too. Chop it and stir fry or steam. Glad you lightened your chicken load. I can imagine Gossy smiling, but wish I could have seen it!
