Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

So... I’ve started talking to my eggs. It’s day 14 and I want the Littles to know my voice. I’m down to 12. The mini incubator was a dud.

Was the incubator a dud or the eggs?

Poor Steven. I saw him on tv... he looks thin and sinewy.

He looked like that on American Idol and that was some years ago now

The incubator was a dud. I got 2 hygrometers and the temp was all over the place and so was the humidity. As for the automatic incubator, the humidity was 50% when I went to bed and 19% when I woke up. At lockdown, I’m going to be diligent about checking the humidity.

With my Genesis 1588 incubator, I wait until it gets to about 25% before adding water to it.

How many eggs does it hold?

I wish that I could have 20 or more chickens but.... local laws don’t allow it. Roosters too. I’d love to keep a Liege Fighter roosters.

The Genesis holds 50 chicken eggs. One does not need to fill it though!

Question: when I woke up and discovered the pups, the humidity was between 36% and 40%. I very quickly added water. Should I be worried? Cuz... I am.
