Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I bought some eggs from a Walmart grocery we have around here. Not impressed. Very anemic looking. Got some regular TJs eggs, and they are much better quality. Worth the wait in line to get in. I get 2 dozen at a time.
Not expecting home eggs for a long while.

Lines may be back at TJs again with us being back in the highest covid tier again!

The costco eggs were the two dozen organic eggs. The yolks are nice and orange and the eggs remind me of black sexlink eggs in color and shape

I actually felt sick for a few days when I began eating store eggs last week. I swear it’s a coincidence, but I don’t know of anything else that would make me nauseous.

Store eggs often have an odd taste to me-- I grew up on home eggs and hated that we needed to switch.

I'm sorry to interrupt this conversation but I am sO happy to find this thread again- I think I read about 500 pages and was LOVING it, but then I lost the thread when my window on chrome got closed. I'll be reading my way through from where I left off, then I might join in the chatter a bit.

Yep, usually 2 or 3 every day. One of them started laying, moved to a new coop, then was done. Of course, they might lay better if I give them some pie, but I have yet to try it out.

They do love pie!

Mine are old hens so stop laying in October. I did get one egg last week from the 4 of them though

My county has never made it out of the highest tier since they started. Pretty pathetic.

I might have to try Costco eggs next!
Did you get any rain? We did pretty good here. Lots of snow in the Sierra!
