Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I am bummed. My serama hen with the prolapse (for well over a month) had recovered. The prolapse was back where it belonged and she was doing really good for the last few days.
Then this morning she laid an egg. Prolapse is back and bloody, although slightly smaller than the original.
She is having a hot soak right now.

Tell me about the food container. I keep looking at them (big one for the dog food), but there are so many complaints! It doesn’t hold as much as it’s supposed to, and mice chew right through it.

I am currently using a trash can I bought in ‘97. The thing is getting worn out!

They get some bird seed which does have some BOSS. Fudge loves it and pushes the other 2 out of the way to eat it.
Is it good or bad?

She is also mad for green grass. I tear it I to small pieces. She eats it like she's starving.
She has put on some weight. Back to her hefty normal self.

Are you talking about the one in my garage... amongst the huge mess?

I got it 15 years ago from a big pet supply store. Can't remember which one and it doesn't have a name on it. Has a screw top lid, hold 40 lbs of dog food. Now has 40 lbs of cat litter since I only have small Scooter dog now. They come in different sizes and configurations (opening angled toward front). No mice or rats ever breached the container. The plastic is substantial, very sturdy and heavy. Never regretted spending the money on it. Maybe they don't make them like this any more.

Oh good. I have a bag of just BOSS also for the occasional treat. Maybe I will supplement extra for her.
She is at least 6 yrs. I was hoping her egg laying days were over.

I have found this thread!! At least, I think this is it... When I'd just gotten my chicks I read, like, 300 pages of this thread . I've since used the watermelon pies for chickens idea I first found here! Please correct me if this is the total wrong thread
