Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I think the eggs will taste better when I change their names back to girl names. I really don't want to eat a egg from a chicken named John or Roger.

Still no eggs. I don't care. I will not eat eggs from chickens named Roger and John. My neighbor is going to love me for the eggs.

Carl, John, Roger, and Chuck are all squatting. No eggs. But they learned from the professionals how to hold out. I really don't care. I don't.

Well Roger bum rushed the coop door this morning and ran off into the woods. I spent 1 1/2 hours getting him back in the coop and run. He thought it was fun. I thought about turning him/her into chicken soup. No way could he survive a day outside around here. I guess they wanted to do something for me for Friday 13th. Eggs? ....................No. All the signs, squating, dancing, ect. Just no eggs

...I had 2 escape this morning, EE cockerel named Royce and BR pullet named Betty... they refused to come back from the woods before I had to leave for work. my BH had no luck either and had to leave for work 2 hours after me, so they spent 8 hours out in the woods... my flock all turned 12 weeks old today, I thought they didn't stand a chance, but the heat wave and drought we're having seem to be keeping the coyotes, bob cats, fox...further down the hill for water, cuz there they were, dust bathing under the big pine next to the coop, making all the rest of the birds jealous... when I finally got home. I still have 2 months more waiting for eggs... I anticipate the same frustration that you are experiencing... but I do love the little snots, so spoiled, my doing...

I keep calling them "he" . They are all pullets with man names. At the advice of achickenwrangler I gave them man names. She says it will make them lay. I beg to differ. It only made them meaner and more determined not to lay. Think I might load them up and send them to her. lol

Mine couldn't survive the neighbors dog let alone all the predators out here. We have no fences and their dog knows no boundry. I was lucky to get her before the dog did.
