Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

The four golden comets lay every morning by 10:30 and when I go to the coop the four younger monsters, two Br's and two Bo's jump up on the nest boxes and start that ole Bok....Bok.....Bok...... like they are telling me "We laid you some eggs". Trying to take credit for the Comets eggs. When I say "I aint buying it" they start the old squat and dance routine. I can wait till they start to lay. But why do they think they have to lie about it?

I should change my name to -all this for chicks! Yeah, I could say, I'm saving two dollars for each chick. One broody game is fun, two broody games are OK, four broodies,...aughh.the attitudes and mood swings are enough to keep you away, not to mention the ball of barb wire coming at you cause she thinks you are after the chicks.....not. be happy your hens are just messing with you, if mine would just sing when they see me...oh! Wait...they do! Then,.... it's baaawwwwk!!! And charge!

Got One! Now you experts tell me who laid it. Was it a Buff Orpington or a Barred Rock? I don't know. Of course its the smallest egg in the picture and next to the huge double yoke egg. I think they bought it somewhere. But they got a banana and honeysuckle leaves for their effort. They were a proud bunch when I got home today. All of them danceing trying to get the credit

Where did I read that Bo's and Br's lay brown eggs? I guess it doesn't matter. I thought about sending them to the dog pound for a lot of things but egg color was not one of them.

it's brown eggs, just really light brown usually.

If it is a BR egg it has to be Rogers egg.
