Yes I have a barn that has a couple different large rooms in it if I needed to separate until I got rid of them. Is it safe to keep them in a rooster flock?

Hen raised chick are healthier than bought chicks. They develop immunity to local pathogens by being with the flock. I started with purebred chicks of a good number of breeds. The resulting chicks are a varied mix of my original chickens. The gene pool is diverse, so inbreeding is a non issue. I find the mixed breeds hardier than my original hatchery babies. I just love my beautiful, colorful egg layers.
