Should I buy this Silkie rooster?

I was planning to ask about that! Over a black hen, would he pass on that leakage? Does it come from a buff chicken somewhere back in his line? And thank you! I think I want him...

I don't know where it comes from, but there's a gal in FL who is looking for red leakage to create calicos. If you put him over a splash hen, who knows what you could come up with? That would be fun!

Just make sure he is healthy and then quarantine him for at least 2 weeks.

He is a very cute and very fluffy rooster!

If anything he might have some partridge in him. But you can breed that out of your stock with some solid black hens, Some of his boys will probably show some leakage on him but not much. Wouldn't expect to see much if any at all on his offspring

I hope this little guy is! Other than his looks I don't know a lot about his personality except that he isn't overly friendly. But he's a Silkie and his babies will be adorable so I don't mind!

Then most likely you won’t have to deal with aggression. If he is a good roo then that is a win-win right there! Plus he’s adorable!

I have always had silkie roosters. A few I got when they were chicks and didn't know they were roos or what color any would turn out to be. A few stayed solid in color but many were all sorts of colors when they matured. All beautiful! And it makes it fun to see what color chicks my all white silkie hen has.

Ok so If I decide to get this little guy, I will pick him up in 2 weeks from now! I will post pictures here!! I think that I will get him unless some crazy beautiful roo comes up. But this guy is even at a killer price! Thank you all for your input, I think I got lucky!
