I have a 5 day old black marans chick. It couldn't finish zipping, so assisted hatching. Unable to stand after hatching. I did splinting of its foot and legs although it didn't seem like splayed legs, but which helped straighten out toes. Have been keeping it in a coffee cup to keep it up right/standing to strengthen legs. Doing vitamins and electrolytes and it will peck at scrambled eggs/chick feed. The right leg still seems weaker. It's definitely doing better than it was on hatch day (will put weight on legs now), but still immediately falls over if I try to get it to stand on its own. Is there any hope for this chick or should I cull it now?

I'd keep trying, but I know some people would cull. Is it worth it to you to keep this chick alive for at least a little longer? It may or may not survive. You've already done a lot.
