Should I discard eggs and if so how long.

What is the product? Some product ingredients have been tested for more applications than others.

Withdraw time has to do with how the chemicals are broken down as well as dose and toxicity.

:frow from the Sandhills of North Carolina.

The fire ants are terrible this year for some reason. :(
You can. sprinkle corn meal on fire ant hills and they either die or move on. I've even used Wheat flour whenI was out of cornmeal and it worked. No need to poison your yard, There is aways a better solution.

I’m definitely ok with swapping brands and would love to use something less toxic if effective. I actually just found this thread and I figured I would post it here Just to tie a bow on the topic incase someone comes behind me.

My Terro ant killers active ingredient is .04% lambda cyhalothrin and apparently is has a very lox toxicity to birds. See below thread

That is good news but you really want to know what it says about toxicity in people.
I would start by reading the safety warnings in the package and the safety data sheet.
I did a quick look at some academic articles.
It is a pyrethroid molecule that is described as moderately toxic to people with scientists who were exposed to it getting some skin tingling sort of symptoms.
Long term effects like cancer aren’t known.
It does seem to break down with heat and sunlight (a study of its over use in lettuce farming concludes no real risk to consumers of the lettuce).
You aren’t going to get a definitive answer to this because it depends on your risk tolerance.
I might wait a few weeks and be sure to cook the eggs properly for another few weeks - but that is just me!
