my humidity is 64. is that ok?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but if you put them in late in the day aren't you supposed to count the next day as day 1? If so, tomorrow would be your hatch day, not today.

That is how I have always done my hatchings. If set in the mornings of the day I count that as day one, if set in late afternoons or evenings I count the next day as day one.

Thats what i figured they were set about 4pm or so on jan. 28th so i thought maybe late day set late day hatch?! i sure hope i have at least 30 in there

Wash the dishes, feed the critters, anything to keep you mind off the hatch. My last hatch I took the baby to Wal Mart as shopped for 2 hours. Then took the baby to visit Nanni (grandma) at work. When I came home I had 2 babies floppying around. Good luck and try to stay busy.

If you run out of things to do, you can always go start fiddling with your brooder, or maybe second-guessing all of that setup. (Did I get the right chick starter? Is the lamp set right? Do I need another thermometer in the brooder? Are there enough marbles in the water dish? Are there enough marbles in my head--or did I lose them all???)

That's what I do.

I've had eggs hatch 4 days late in the past. The chicks were weak, but they hatched and survived. Give it time. Candle the eggs, if they're alive you'll see their beaks moving in the air cell.
